Great Candy Cupcake Recipes
Jelly Belly Cupcake Towers
Build a Seussian cupcake tower garnished with jelly belly jelly beans. These whimsical creations delight children and leave adults marveling at your creativity. Color coordinate them to your party theme or make a cake rainbow.
Supplies:
Cupcake mix
Paper cupcake liners (small, standard, and jumbo)
Cupcake tins (small, standard, and jumbo)
Vanilla frosting

food coloring
mixing bowls
How to make them:
- Using your favorite white or chocolate cupcake recipe, bake cupcakes in three sizes: jumbo, standard and mini.
- Separate the frosting into mixing bowls (one for each color you plan to use).
- Mix food coloring into each bowl until you achieve the desired color.
- Frost your cupcakes.
- Decorate the outer edge of each cupcake with jelly beans.
- Stack your cupcakes with a jumbo at the bottom and a mini at the top.
Hershey’s Chocolate Bar Filled Chocolate Cupcakes
Anything that uses the word chocolate in its name has to be good, and these cupcakes use it twice. This recipe from Hershey will make any chocolate lover’s day.
Supplies:
8 oz. cream cheese
1/3 cup sugar
1 egg
1/8 teaspoon salt
6 oz of Hershey’s Milk Chocolate bars (chopped)
4 Hershey Bars broken into sections
Your favorite cake mix
Muffin tin
Cupcake papers
How to make them:
- Mix up your cake mix
- Make your filling by combining cream cheese, sugar, egg and salt in a small bowl, beating until creamy
- Stir chocolate bar pieces into the filling
- Line muffin tins with cupcake papers
- Fill muffin cups about 2/3 full of cake batter
- Add 1 tablespoon of filling to the center of each cupcake.
- Bake for 20 to 25 min at 350 degrees.
- Let your cakes cool and then top each one with a section of Hershey bar
Snickers Chocolate Cupcakes
These candy-filled cupcakes are topped with chunks of Snickers for a rich desert that looks like it was made by the finest cupcakery. The recipe is published by Betty Crocker, so you know it has to be good.
Supplies for Cupcakes:
Muffin tin
cupcake papers
mixing bowl
6 oz of cream cheese
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 egg
6 oz Snickers candy bars, finely chopped
1.5 cups flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1/3 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 cup buttermilk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
Supplies for Frosting:

1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup butter
3 tablespoons whole milk
1.5 cups powdered sugar
3 oz Snickers bars
How to make them:
- Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar and egg with an electric mixer until smooth.
- Stir in chopped candy bars
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
- Beat in buttermilk, oil and vanilla.
- Spoon batter into lined muffin tin.
- Add 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture to each cup.
- Bake 23 to 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
- While your cupcakes are cooling, cook brown sugar and butter over medium heat until it boils.
- Remove from heat and add milk.
- Let cool 30 minutes.
- Once the mixture is cool, beat 1.5 cups powdered sugar into the brown sugar mixture to make your frosting.
- Frost your cupcakes and top with chopped candy bar.
