The end of the school year is almost upon us and it’s time to say goodbye to your students. Give them sweet memories of the last day of school with these cute candy ideas for end-of-the-school-year parties. From snacks to awards to pun-filled party favors, with bulk candy and a little creativity you can throw an end of the school year party your students will talk about all summer long.
Activity for your End-of-the-School-Year Party
School Themed Candy Bar – Set up a candy bar and let your students choose their favorite candy. With bulk candy and some clear plastic containers, it’s easy to set up a candy bar that kids will love. You’ll need Ring Pops so every student gets a class ring, Albanese Assorted Gummi Worms for the book worms, Smarties and Nerds for all the clever students in your class. You can fill out your candy bar with some class favorites, we recommend Albanese 12 Flavor Assorted Gummi Bears, Jelly Belly Jelly Beans and candy necklaces.
Snacks for your End-of-the-School-Year Party
Crazy Candy Cupcakes – Cupcakes are a pretty sweet treat all their own. But you can make them even better (and more colorful) by adding candy. Just make your favorite cupcakes, frost and then use candy to decorate. We recommend M&M’s, Sixlets or candy crumble.
The great thing about these cupcakes is you don’t have to be a Cake Boss to make them look amazing. Just load as much candy as will stick to the frosting and they’re ready for your students.
Awards for your End-of-the-School-Year Party
Candy Medals – If you plan to give out end-of-the-year awards, these candy medals will be more appreciated than a certificate. They’re easy to make. Just attach a length of ribbon to a fun size candy using a piece of tape. We recommend getting a Hershey’s Spring Chocolate Mega Mix or Mars Miniature Mix so you have enough to make one for each student.
Party Favors for your End-of-the-School-Year Party
The most “pun” way to let your students know you miss them is with an Owl Candy Bar. They’re super easy and lots of fun. All you need is a Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Crème Candy Bar some markers, tape, and sheets of paper.
How to do it:
- Cut the paper to about the length of the candy bar.
- Wrap it around the candy bar and tape it in place
- Draw big round eyes, a triangle for a beak and some wavy lines for feathers on the top half of the candy bar.
- Write “Owl Miss you” on the bottom half.
- See your students smile when they get their sweet treat.
If you’re just as glad as they are that summer is almost here (and we know you are), throw together this other pun-based treat. Fill a treat bag or small gift box with orange candy. We recommend Fort Knox Chocolate Orange Coins, Air Heads Orange Taffy Bars, and Albert’s Orange Slices. Add a tag that says, “Orange you Glad It’s Summer,” and you’re ready to hit the beach.
