Mothers love getting gifts handmade by their children. That’s true whether their kids are three years old or thirty. With some bulk candy and a little bit of DIY ingenuity, you can craft a Mother’s Day gift that shows her exactly how much you care.
We’ve put together a list of the best Mother’s Day candy crafts for children of all ages.
Kisses Mason Jar
Show mom you love her with a jar full of kisses. You’ll need a mason jar, ribbon, paper and markers, scissors and of course a bag of Hershey’s Kisses.
How to make it:
- Open the bag of Hershey’s Kisses and dump it into the mason jar. If they don’t all fit in the jar, you should probably eat the leftovers so mom doesn’t find them and discover your surprise.
- Trace the top of the mason jar on the piece of paper and cut out the circle.
- Write a message on the paper. We suggest Happy Mother’s Day or A Kiss for Mom on Mother’s Day.
- Place the flat cover on the mason jar, put the paper on top, and screw on the outer lid.
- Tie the ribbon around the neck of the jar.
- Give mom your gift.
Mother’s Day Flower Bouquet
Flowers and candy are traditional Mother’s Day gifts. Give mom the best of both worlds with this bouquet of chocolate flowers. You’ll need: green floral sticks, cardstock (colored or white that you can paint), floral foam, a vase, scissors, double sided tape, a hot glue gun and glue, and Dove Chocolate Promises. We recommend using the Milk Chocolate Caramel Promises and the Dark Chocolate Promises for red flowers with yellow centers.
How to make it:
1. Cut out half a dozen flower shapes and a few leaf shapes from the card stock.
2. Glue or tape the flower to the top of each floral stick
3. Use double-sided tape to stick a Dark Chocolate Promise to each petal of each flower.
4. Stick a Milk Chocolate Caramel Promise in the center of each flower.
5. Cut the floral foam down to fit inside the vase and insert the foam into the vase.
6. Arrange the flowers in the foam.
7. Present your gift to mom.
8. Eat the leftover chocolate.

Melt Your Own Lollipops
A lollipop bouquet is appropriate for almost any occasion. If you want to make one really special for mom, you can make your own lollipops by melting Jolly Ranchers into custom shapes. You’ll need jolly ranchers, lollipop sticks, parchment paper, a cookie sheet, hot pot mitts, and an oven.
How to Make them:
1. Preheat the oven to 275 degrees Fahrenheit
2. Line the cookie sheet with parchment paper and start laying out your candy.
3. Lay Jollyr ranchers on the sheet in the shape of a flower. We recommend using at least two colors, one for the petals and one for the center.
4. Put the cookie sheet in the oven for 3 or 4 minutes, until the candy starts to soften.
5. Let cool for one minute.
6. Add the stick by pressing it into one of the petals and gently twisting it to coat with candy.
7. If you want to add petals, place one or two green candies on the stick.
8. Return to the oven for 2 minutes or until leaves are melted.
9. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
10. Arrange the flowers in a vase or tie with a ribbon before presenting your bouquet to mom.
