Lollipops are a favorite of adults and kids alike. In fact, people love them so much, that they actually have their own holiday. July 20th is National Lollipop day. To help you celebrate, we’ve compiled a list of our favorite lollipop-based crafts and snacks.

Give Lollipop Gifts
These sweet gifts are perfect for that special someone or make a bunch and give them as party favors.
Dum dum lollipop pinwheels – with some colorful folded paper, a straw and a dum dum lollipop you can make this adorable and whimsical pinwheel. Get the video tutorial here.
Superhero lollipops – You already know that lollipops are super. Now you can turn them into masked superheroes with this printable template from Zakka Life. Just print out the templates and glue them on to a lollipop of your choice. We recommend Chupa Chups.
Octopus lollipops – Who knew something so easy to make could also be so adorable? You’ll need squares of tissue papers, some pipe cleaners, googley eyes and a bag of Tootsie Roll Pops. Just wrap the tissue paper around the pops and use the pipe cleaners to hold it in place. Add some extra pipe cleaners to make legs for your octopus. Then glue on the eyes.
Butterfly Lollipop template – Grab a bag of Gourmet Assorted Mini Pops and print off this easy template. Then all you have to do is cut it out and insert the lollipop in the slits in the template. Ta da, you have a whole flock of butterflies ready to delight.

Celebrate Lollipops with Cake
No party is complete without cake. So celebrate lollipops with these adorable cake creations.
Lollipop flower cupcake – To make these beautiful cupcakes, first bake your favorite cupcake. Then apply green frosting or white frosting with green sprinkles. This will be the base for your lollipop flower. Cut out a green leaf shape. Martha Stewart recommends using taffy tape, but green fondant works equally well. Once you have the leaf, attach it to your lollipop stick. Then insert the lollipop into the top of the cupcake.
Lollipop Cake – Lollipops also make great decorations for a full-size cake. You don’t have to be a professional cake decorator to make this beautiful, whimsical cake. Just bake your favorite flavor and frost it with white frosting. Then add colorful sprinkles and insert your favorite lollipops.
