Chocolate is the perfect way to celebrate a job well done, comfort yourself when you’re feeling sad, or show someone how much you love them.

Unfortunately, summer heat can pose a threat to the integrity of your favorite bulk candy chocolate treats.

While Sweet Services is not responsible for melted product, we do take special care to make sure your chocolate arrives in good shape. We carefully pack all candy to protect it as it leaves our warehouse.

Ordering Chocolate in Summer Heat

However, there are some things you can do to protect your candy order.

First, make it quick. Choose one or two day express shipping at checkout. That will minimize the amount of time your chocolate spends in transit. If you place an order on a weekend, we may hold the order until Monday to prevent candy from sitting in a shipping warehouse over the weekend.

Second, purchase an ice pack and cooler. For just $5 you’ll get two days worth of protection for your chocolate treats.

Finally, if you order chocolate candy and it arrives a little soft, don’t panic. Let it sit at room temperature for a while to allow it to return to normal. We don’t recommend putting chocolate in freezer since the extreme cold can further destabilize the structure of the chocolate, but a short stint in the refrigerator is probably fine.
